Re: Battlezone II Remodeled 1.0.8 released 2/21/17
I am shocked that I wasn't made privy to this discussion given how much the significance of the Ularians in the current Battlezone Redux projects is my doing, tsk tsk. To put it bluntly, Coxxon, the primary mod project takes place during the Battlezone 1 timeline, in late-1970 to early-1971 and the ...

For maximum cool points make the afterburn purple.

Re: My Modern Battlezone Pet-Project...
Small nitpick, but if you're going to have afterburners shouldn't they be blue, with normal thrusters being orange? Since, y'know, afterburners are hotter than normal thrust?
Very cool, though.
Very cool, though.

Re: G66 mod
What about a "spotlight" effect that blinds enemy units, such that they have more trouble aiming with your headlights shining in your eyes.

Re: Grizzly/Sabre fusion
What's probably got the polycount bumped up so high is the smooth circles on the top hatch and nacelle connections. I've got no interest in lowering the quality of those, haha, though they could probably get by without the indenting, it looks nice but it could probably be done with texturing. I'll s...

Re: Grizzly/Sabre fusion
Hah, it's a good thing I haven't spent too much time getting this finished yet. On the note of the barrel mount, it currently extends almost to the very back, just like the Grizzly's and if I were to shorten it, it'd require I move the rotating ammo drum at the back, which I'm hesitant to do. I cert...

Re: Grizzly/Sabre fusion
Shortened the nacelles slightly, did some work on detailing, made the cannon two parts, and made a more soviet-styled mortar launcher. Not sure about a physical headlight, still thinking about it. I'd like to get on the texturing soon, so hopefully I'll see more suggestions over the coming week. htt...

Grizzly/Sabre fusion
Dunno if this falls specifically under the banner of BZ2 mod making but I figured I'd share it with you nerds. I'm designing a fusion between the Grizzly and Sabre, intended to be a sort of "missing link" between the two vehicles, a step in their evolution. The current name I'm rolling wit...

Re: My Modern Battlezone Pet-Project...
Very nice. would be a nice touch if units and buildings displayed as tiny, simplified wireframes of their 3D models. I guess it all depends on how much work you intend to put into it.

Re: Battlezone II Remodeled - Available Now!
'Twas BZ1's way of explaining overall health vs destructible components. Also interestingly, if we accept that Biometal has self-mending properties, BZ2 units should be even less likely to show damage than BZ1 units, as BZ1 units are a prefabricated non-Biometal chassis and internal components with...

Re: Quad walkers.
The biggest challenge definitely won't be the number of feet, but animating it believably. I recommend researching how quad walkers move on Youtube and elsewhere, if you can, here's a good start: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO7ZWd8keOQ Other mods (cough, FE, cough) have grossly failed to make th...

I was merely saying I like more muted colours, the neon schemes are garish, absolutely hideous.

Oh, hah! Same here, no wonder that mission glitched the first two times I played it but mysteriously worked the third attempt.

Re: So Coxxon, how have you spent 2015?
Oh, I've seen the fancy team colours, they look... strange, in my opinion. They just apply to the entire texture for the unit or building, which would be odd enough on it's own without the fact that it doesn't even apply to some textures, most often with buildings. We're hoping for team colours for ...

Re: So Coxxon, how have you spent 2015?
I'm going to be the voice to the contrary, if they do a BZ2 remastered I sincerely hope they take the art style in a less... colourful direction. Your work is impressive, Coxxon, but just looking at the original media... yeah, I hope Rebellion doesn't recreate that. pls no haet guys I am, jsut voici...
