Re: How did you discover BZ2?
I played Battlezone in 1998 when it came out and was hooked; I was in the third grade. In 2002, I learned that there had been a sequel made, and I stumbled across a 4-pack of games at CompUSA containing Heavy Gear 2, Quake II, Dark Reign 2, and Battlezone II: Combat Commander . I bought two boxes. :D

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
But the equation you have shown me indicates that lift "L" is directly proportional to the local fluid density. If fluid density "P" is 0, then lift "L" is also 0. By extension, that means that as "P" approaches some infinitesimally small number towards zero, ...

Why am I presently sitting in my computer chair, wearing burgundy suspenders, a matching bow-tie, boots, and my hair parted to one side with a Sonic Screwdriver in my pocket?Sly wrote:Why the hell are you role playing?

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
It would seem to us at the Facility that that description and equation of the mechanism that you have provided precludes its use in a vacuum, else I have misinterpreted it. All manner of vehicles were operating in vacuum during the lunar campaigns of 1951 and 1969, and they did so without any unexpe...

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
The development and existence of "Sky Eye" solves the problem of locating the biometal. We are certainly capable of beaming a radio wave strong enough via satellite to locate loose biometal. You also have to remember that biometal is only valuable precisely because it produces great weapon...

Re: Short story-ish piece of writing
This facility is the beginning of all things pertaining to biometal and has been at the forefront of its development since 1945. We believe that the AED operating on that facility were not actual AED but rather ISDF black operations posing as AED. In other words, they did not come from the AED to Pl...

Re: Short story-ish piece of writing
Interesting theory. We here at the Facility are perplexed as to why anyone not posted at Cerberus Base would even know of Cerberus Base's existence and call for aid. That existence of that installation is not even known to the rest of the ISDF or to the AAN. Concerning the so-called "Strain III...

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
The mechanism through which biometal produces the ability to float can, for all intents and purposes, be classified as "unknown" at present. The only reason we have what we assume to be gravity impellers on our present vehicles is because the memories present in the biometal also had them,...

It's more a "lol" on how so quickly and readily he slips in and out of character is all Heh, I've noticed that. I feel like I should join in, but it's hard to not slip out of character to explain some things One of the biggest fallacies of most of the re-imagined scenarios for the fight f...

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
Well, the first game seems like it was actually supposed to be a caricature of the Cold War, military brass, the Soviet Union, conspiracy theories, and the space race. The dialogue in the game makes that evident to me; perhaps Ken can share more on that. It would appear that they just accidentally g...

I do not want to expand too much more however, as BZU went down shortly after my announcement and discussion of said documentation. Heh. I just thought you were laughing at my ideas. I was about to have a sad. =o @Psychedelic Rhino: Your turret was the other thing that spurred me onto this. I don't...

Re: Battlezone: The Re-imagining
I am privy to the contents of that carbon copy. It is actually what spurred me on to starting this historical reconstruction. I also hope that when I have added more to the reconstruction, certain Community Project elements will get inspired. Better yet, modern engines will be employed. Since I am a...

Battlezone: The Re-imagining
So, I was registered on BZU for only a short while, and I was aware it went down and where everyone went, but I've been away for awhile myself. Before BZU went down, I had said I was going to start working on a series of drawings for the Battlezone universe depicting my version of events in the time...
