Re: Green Lantern
What content?
Oh two superheros have sex and you see their movements and nude parts while "Hallelujah" plays.
Some blue guy is naked and you can see his ding-a-ling.

There's a reason I didn't mention Spawn. I thought it was horrible.Axeminister wrote:I've never read Watchmen comic books, but thought the movie was a very good one. Another comic book adaptation I'm surprised you didn't mention was Spawn. I had never read any comic books on the super hero but loved the movie. My favorite super hero is the Incredible Hulk. I've watched both the new movies at least six times each and am just giddy about the Avengers coming with him in it. We too may see Super 8 over going to see Green Lantern just because the trailers don't do his character justice.
I thought the first Hulk movie was better than the second, but neither really seemed to really pull together.
Guess that's why he'll be the antagonist in the Avengers.

That's what I don't get about the American attitude. The sex parts have you all squeamish, yet all the gratuitous graphic violence doesn't even register a mention.Baconboy wrote:What content?

Essentially: killing someone in a horrible way is acceptable, but the act of sex or even a naked body is a no-no. Very strange, to me at least.

Re: Green Lantern
The question is, who's to blame?

Re: Green Lantern
I don't think it even matters. People will either lighten up and change their attitudes and eventually all institutions will follow suit to get public approval, or people won't and continue along the way they think now.Iron Maiden wrote:The question is, who's to blame?

Re: Green Lantern
We just went to see this movie and loved it. Yes he has to charge the ring every day. Yes the movie was true to the story. Very well done.

^ This!
What do critics have against this film?!
It's like Marvel is PAYING them to bash on DC...

If someone gets paid to say something, in this case movie critics, I make a point of not trusting what they say.

Yes.
As I said again: I only listen to Jeremy Jahns. He doesn't get paid and he has similar opinions as me. And he's hilarious.
