Alchemist > Bleach.
Ask a major anime/manga fan who's read them both. ;)
Bleach is kind of being lousy right now...

Well I had already read only 5 volumes of Full Metal Alchemist, and then I got distracted by reading Bleach while I was waiting for the next volume of FMA to be turned back in to the library, and started reading it.
And say if I wanted to go from reading the Bleach manga to watching the anime, how would I know which episode to start on? Is there any way I could tell?

I tried doing it already actually, I clicked an episode and was like "...Wtf is going on..."

Right now I'm on volume 19 of the manga. I think I was back on like, volume 16 or something when I tried watching episode 100 of the anime I think, and I had no idea what was happening. The ****' libraries copy of the 19th volume got stolen though, so I was waiting for them to buy a new one like they said, but now I'll probably just read it online.

Yeah, I usually read online, and if I like it enough, I buy it.

I don't have much money to spend, so I just get them from the library.
