One of the best videos I've ever seen on the theory and rationalization of killing tens of thousands of civilians a night for weeks.

The Fog of War

I won't play Monday morning quarterback, I'm sure I would have made similar choices.

That the dictionary is a lie created to control people.
Do not believe it's lies, as they are subliminal
They are taught by the devil's minions in "Schools"
Grammar, punctuation, and letters are all the eyes of Lucifer
Whenever you use these things, Lucifer is controlling you.
He pulls the strings and runs your life like a puppeteer.
Gather your dictionaries!
Cast them back to hell with the fir from wence it came!

Yes, it's an eye opener on the rationale of attempting to reduce the allied death to zero at the cost of horrendous death tolls on the enemy.

Dropping the nukes in WWII was for shock value, the death tolls from those two bombs were but a small fraction of the death total of civilians from the fire bombings

To cut to the chase, move the slider the 38 minute mark.

Somewhat related movie about the aftermath of the firebombings. 'Grave of the Fireflies'. It's a masterpiece.

WWI: as in the Civil War, tactics not adapted to technology == high casualties (or, 'oopsies!)

WWII: kids attacking sleeping giant and bear get creamed (or, 'underestimating your enemy')

Cuban Missile Crisis: 2 bears grumbling as they pass each other

Vietnam: cowboy kicking a fire ant hill

Iran/Iraq War: let's you and him fight

Desert Storm: resource management

Currently: jihad joe vs GI joe
