This is a feather in the hat for Obama.

But clouds could be gathering again for our Hawaiian hero.

It's still playing itself out, but a new wave is forming on the possibility the birth certificate was altered or partially faked.

Normally, this could be dismissed out of hand as birther nonsense. However, there's easy to check verification with the proper software.

And the most humorous aspect is a kid right out of high school may have made the discovery. Now remember, the information may indeed be correct and the certificate may have been *cough* "enhanced for clarity". That's not the issue with this forensic evidence.

Will Trump get a second wind?

Stay tuned.

If they're going to spend more than 5 minutes doing something that can be done in 1, not worth my time watching....

According to this article, US special forces have managed to subcontract out to time travelling aliens from Star Trek. ;)

I am a bit suspicious now.

Obama released a doctored birth certificate (automated image improvement or malicious, still in question, but stupidity is obvious) and as soon as people start to notice the actual document is in LAYERS (pieces of text separate from other parts, background entirely separate except for a few small bits of original ink) we nab Osama and everyone forgets. The heck? Am I the only one who isn't a goldfish here?

Remember back when the TSA had their practices released in PDF form, like what they look for? It was supposed to come out, and it had parts of it redacted. The problem is that this was done by drawing black rectangles over the text. Every rectangle was another object, with the text being an object. This means that they were layered on top of each other, and one could either A: remove the redactions or B: select the text under them and paste it. A similar situation occurred with the birth certificate, where the entire black and white scanned area is pasted on top of a nearly blank birth certificate scan and then several other bits of text are on even more layers/obejcts above.

So we have this FLAMING evidence of at the very least stupidity on the part of the President, or at least whomever handled his birth certificate and all the news can talk about is how the 'birthers' are proved wrong now (actually this is more fuel on their fire, but it isn't being reported) and how big of a bump Obama is getting for taking out Osama.

For note, I am not a birther. I just think he was a moron.

Maybe you should contemplate your inner goldfish, :) It should be clear to anyone that these political conspiracy theories are the product of people who cannot win political power any way other than by deception. Politics is a dirty game, often you have to look harder at those who throw the muck than those they throw it at. From here American Politics often look like sick comedy, as does our own sometimes. The trick is to look at what positive things they are saying (if any!) and to take note of what they are not saying...
All this stuff is clearly an attempt to remove an elected president by means other than the ballot box. Any believer in democracy should be very suspicious of those doing it. And anyone finding themselves with firmly held political opinions, should seriously question why they do that. It is "goldfish" behaviour.

When Obama was born digital documentation did not exist. So any digital representation of it had to be created long after the fact. The conspiracy is meaningless. It is a constructed attempt to manipulate the American people. Those doing it have no respect for your American ideals, you should be far more concerned about them, than exactly where your president was born.

You don't seem to understand the gravity of the doctoring that has occurred and the sloppiness which which it was done. So called 'experts' claim it is just normal artifacts of scanning with OCR and such, and I would believe them, except I am a 'computer scientist' by degree.

Look at this for a moment. Look at the upper left. At the very least this was scanned and then dropped onto the background texture. Except some of the text is part of the background, which doesn't make any sense. And the seal is it's own layer, which also doesn't make any sense, because scanners, even with OCR, don't do that.

That would be like saying if you printed out my avatar and then scanned it you would get an eye layer and the picture of MacGyver, but the stuff under the eyes would still be there. It is 100% nonsensical. It is downright shocking some people believe **** like this.

And we aren't a democracy, we are a republic, save for the Seventeenth Amendment which f*cked up the plan. (The senate was SUPPOSED to represent the state government and the house it's people. Now that they both represent the people we get pandering for votes from both of them and spending unchecked for validity pushing us headfirst into the impossibility that is our current fiscal situation.) (We are still a republic if you consider the Electoral College, even though everything is popular vote otherwise.)

What I am saying is that it is impossible for Obama's original birth certificate to have been in any digital format. The technology did not exist.
So clearly it has been created long after his birth, the methods used to create the digital version almost certainly involved "doctoring" of some sort or another, probably just to make it legible.
Of course in the UK you don't have to have been born in any particular place, to become PM or even Royalty for that matter. So the issue just seems trivial to me. People voted for him, he got the job and will certainly lose it again at some point.
If you were talking about election rigging I would agree that it would be a big issue, but the validity of a birth certificate that cannot be the original anyway is just a nonsense and a propaganda tool.

I say he has a real and official birth certificate and is either A: a moron, or B: maliciously trying to f*ck with people.
I was making a statement that we are all screwed over here because of the imbalance in the entire electoral system. Hell, when your electoral representative goes to the electoral college, HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO VOTE FOR WHO YOU VOTED FOR TO SEND HIM.

You vote for someone you never see or hear of to go vote for you. How does that make sense?
Even more so how does it make sense to give every single individual the driving power of a country singularly when they are in a majority impulsive easy to control morons. Where they hell is the part that says 'NO'?

And finally:
MrTwosheds wrote:What I am saying is that it is impossible for Obama's original birth certificate to have been in any digital format. The technology did not exist.

Stop being difficult. If they took the PAPER ONE, and they put it on a FLAT BED SCANNER, and they hit SCAN, they would get a DIGITAL COPY. And that copy would be FLAT. As I linked and you see incapable of understanding, materiel paper and images are two dimensional when on a paper and when scanned you cannot magically see what is behind something in the image.

I do not know how you do not understand. You are spouting some BS line about 'there is no digital original', well NO ****!

However, I cannot scan a picture into a computer, and then magically remove something in the foreground and have an entire complete background! It is a physical impossibility. The fact you avoid this every time I say it and meander around some point about 'no original digital copy' is appalling. Hell, MY birth certificate doesn't have a digital original. NO ONE'S DOES! They are PAPER.

Now, if there WAS a digital copy made first, that actually *WOULD* explain layers, as that is how all modern document composition is done. Take a look at this:
http://www.autoweek.com/assets/pdf/CW17177419.PDF
It is in layers. It was produced ORIGINALLY in layers. Observe how the head on Captain America can be removed revealing the original head of the model. You cannot do that with something that was not originally in digital format!

Take a looks: http://www.autoweek.com/assets/pdf/CW17177419.PDF

I rest my case that whomever scanned the document is either a moron and touched it up or intended for this issue by malicious intent.

On the note of Bin Laden, I am EXTREMELY suspicious of the timing, as I said. It just averted so many gazes from the issues at hand. It is like, as soon as they stop the birther thing for the most part (badly mind you, but making them look more nutty with that **** set of 'improvements' made to the scan) they needed something new to distract the majority of people.

IT IS A CONSPIRACY WITHIN A CONSPIRACY WITHIN AN ENIGMA!
(Anyone catch on I am only half serious at this point?)
