Biking home several miles, after getting hit by an SUV, is quite the interesting experience. Didn't go to the doctor though, a crackly patella and a tiny less movemable shoulder isn't that medical bill worthy. Though, the aching shoulder is a bit annoying.

Why the hell one of the most civilised countries in the world doesn't yet have free healthcare I'll never understand.

we have this weird policy of having to earn what you get instead of feeling entitled to everything...

We have a weird one too, in which your health doesn't depend on how much money you earn. See, that works both ways. :P

Wealth does not occur in isolation. Every rich man is actually supported by many less fortunate than he. Somewhere between feudalism and communism there should be a stable situation where people are not driven to destroy each other.
The only realistic situation where you won't be subsidising the medical costs of others, one way or another, is one where the sick are left to suffer and die when their wealth runs out. Of course if every street was blessed with its own "Jesus" then everyone could get their healthcare for nothing, even the rich...

i can't believe you - of all people - just said that. you, the town crier screaming, wait for it...wait for it... "EXTERMINAAAATE!" at every opportunity he gets. i expected better of you... not going soft on me now, are you? :P

okay, all seriousness aside...

in every civiliz/sation, the rich get richer (generally) and the poor (generally) get poorer. that is due to either:

1) incentive/education

or

2) sloth/lack of education

or

3) born rich

there is absolutely *no* excuse in this world to not be educated (go to a library and read some books if you can't afford school). heck, you can go to a university library and read the same textbooks others pay for, for free.

the fundamental question lies in, "Do i accept 'No' as an answer?".

if you reply with anything except, "Not only 'No', but 'HELL NO", you'll always be poor.

I was just making fun of people who don't seem to understand their own saviours teachings.
here is absolutely *no* excuse in this world to not be educated
Your not talking to some naive kid, I have "benefited" from being educated in the UK, our education system is "exclusive" it is designed to fail people, its purpose is to create a limited number of elite's and a mass of lesser mortals. This is not America, the class/wealth you are born too does still make all the difference. Wealth is not an option for most, as you understand from your post on the Fiat money system, currency value is a variable, it is subject to its own form of relativity, the poor MUST exist and the percentage of "wealthy" is entirely dependent on the successfulness of the nations economy, relative to other nations. Lucky you, living in the wealthiest nation, parroting propaganda telling everyone else its their own fault.
Our current European society's were rebuilt after the war, we demanded certain forms of equality, good enough to fight and die for your country? then good enough to be treated by a doctor too, when we need it, not only when we can afford it. Simple.
If the elites want to take that away again, they're going to find themselves getting allot of big medical bills! :)
