Basically, if the US government doesn't like you, you're off to Gitmo. Of course you could still end up playing hot-potato with a hellfire missile, instead.

I'd almost feel forced to make the same statement, but reversed, RD.
Over here I'd sooner say it about the conservatives than I would about the liberals.

Imo, we should all be liberal, with a slight dose of conservative feeling. Nothing wrong with liking the current state, but standing still is the worst thing we could do.

Seeing as the modern day conservative is the liberal of the past, really it puts you flat middle ground.

You know, I was down to thinking there was no difference between liberal and conservative politicians until this hit. The bill was sponsored by John McCain, and Obama has said he will veto it.

If McCain had been elected, this would become law very soon.

So, putting a slightly higher tax rate on people making enough money a year to afford it (especially since they're already paying a lower rate than people making a lot less) to give a tax break to the people who need it is a bad idea?

But obviously thinking this makes you a communist. Because obviously this is "spreading the wealth."
