No, the useless 'u' comes from French, and one of the British public's brief fleeting fascination with being more French. Most Americans don't exactly go for things French. Want proof? Notre Dame. Football. (To loop back to this thread's topic.) How 'mericns say 'Notre Dame' kinda makes Parisian's blood boil. :p

American football sucks?

Um, I mean, Soccer (real football) is better, at least the people there have to actually react quicker and are not standing around most of the time.
Sports suck in general though...

I don't like sports, and I hate soccor.
American Football: 250 pounnd men brutally takling each other and running massive distances to gain the trajectory to cathc a small hide wrapped around a frame and inflated with gas.
Everyone else's football: Kick ball into net, riot, repeat.

That isn't the fun. The fun is emotionally attaching yourself to a certain team, thus giving weight to each match. If I'm watching two teams I don't care about, I'll be kinda bored unless they relate to us in seeding etc.Iron Maiden wrote:I don't like sports, and I hate soccor.
