BATTLEZONE - Living Legend trailer

Post by maybeshe »

This video is dedicated to the BATTLEZONE Universe, but not to the separate game of the episode.
Because of some problems with the first game HUD settings with video capturing, I had to reject some of my ideas.
The plot of the second episode's with mentioned developments from the first part becomes the basis of this video.

P.S. Sorry if my English is bad.

Beautiful! Very nice shot angles and effects. I like what you did with the Factory lights. Looks like everything was done at very high res. You have a bright future. Your English is much better than my Russian ;-) (and, sadly, a lot of Americans)

I don't know what anyone says, but Grizzly One > Cooke!

As far as critical analysis, the changing cords seemed to jar every once in a while near the end as they escalated in transition.

.... Meh, new music I don't find the will to tolerate it. Anyways, about the trailer, we need MOAR! I like trailers made like this :). It does't look like those machinima wannabees that use movie maker and just through in some clips from different cut scenes and filters over videos, which is a good thing :D.

One of the best fan videos I've seen so far... but here's a little critique :P

I felt the intial scene was a bit long, but worked well. The sound effects could have done with some slightly better looping, but I'm only saying that as a sound tech. I also thought the voices had a little too much reverb, but again, others may not have noticed.

I liked the visuals. The flashing light on the cockpit was a nice touch especially. However, some of the shots seemed to be a bit low, and those that were supposed to be from a free camera were clearly from a vehicle (something that affects all BZ2 videos, unfortunately, not much can be done about it).

I thought the music could have done with a little more of the BZ feel (perhaps using the tracks that were released recently), or perhaps something more epic (Two Steps from Hell or Wall of Sound, maybe?), but Daft Punk's hardly a bad choice (and isn't new either, Dat).

Last thing was the title screen. That warrior's cockpit was a very nice touch, but I felt the typeface could have done with a little bit more of the BZ feel.

Don't think I'm being negative - I liked that a lot. Just giving some friendly suggestions for whatever you do next :)

Anything from the 90s and up, I consider new and I don't really like it :P.

You're too young to be critical of modern music!

I loved the trailer.

Thank you for the time you put into making it!

Might be able to interest some new players with that.

I'm not critical >.> I just know what type of music I like and don't like :P. It just happens, my taste in music is 30-50 years behind everyone... :P
