Gog.com's daily sale for today (2013/06/21) seems to be their best prices of the year. Yes, it's mostly older titles, but they're 100% DRM free - you get an exe you can install on all your computers, no CD checks, no internet signin on launch.

And, the Steam summer sale just hit - July 11-22, 2013 : http://store.steampowered.com/ (servers are melting, wait a few hours)

Advice from past sales: drop by every day. (They update at noon Central/10AM Pacific). If there's a daily sale item you want, grab it. Anything else you want, WAIT until the last day of the sale; they might move it to a daily sale one day.

(UPDATE): There's also http://www.steamgamesales.com/?sort=savings&order=desc, which allows you to sort the entire list of what's on sale w/o going to Steam's overloaded website, and only able to view 10 entries at a time on Steam's site.

Steam Thanksgiving sale just hit. Skyrim (base, no DLC) for $7.50 is a lot of game for that price.

Question. Let's say a certain game I want is on sale now for 25% off and doesn't go on sale for Daily and Flash. Should I buy it at 25% off, or should I wait till the Winter sale? And isn't the Winter sale usually after Christmas?

Iirc there is usually a big sale just before X-mas. Prices tend to drop, its all up to you, want to wait and take the chance the game does not go on sale, or buy now and be sure you save 25%.


Edit: Just logged into Steam, which I havent been doing regularly latelly .. it seems the HD-patches for Stronghold & Stronghold Crusader are now available on Steam. I noticed since the games automaticly updated.

FYI; Stronghold HD is for sale now for under €3,-, cant go wrong there
