C&C: Renegade [Red Alert: A Path Beyond]

Hey everyone! Glad to see things are still kicking around here. I happened to stumble upon something interesting today that I'm sure FPS/RTS hybrid fans might be able to appreciate.

I'm sure that some of you remember Command and Conquer: Renegade from years back. Well it seems that the latest version of a Red Alert mod for the game has been released; focusing solely on the MP aspect of the game and improving it from the original. For those who never played Renegade, the mod is basically C&C Red Alert 1 but as a team based FPS with bases that your team needs to destroy in order to win the game.

Best of all though, is that the mod is FREE and *DOES NOT* require you to have C&C: Renegade to play. Apparently EA has given permission to the developers to package the mod with their own standalone .exe file to download.

I enjoyed playing Renegade years back. The game has some really intense armored vehicles like the Mammoth and Stealth Tanks. Thanks for the link.

Renegade was a really fun to play... I sometimes believe that its a simplified and more evolved version of BZ.
