Bionite: Origins needs Support!

Post by M4BHoward »

Message to the BZ2 Community:

The makers of Battlezone 3 (renamed 'Bionite: Origins' due to fun with copyrights,) are advancing steadily with the development of their program. Soon there will be a new BZ on the net!

There's only one issue: they need funding. Check out the trailer and please consider supporting, even if you can only spare a couple bucks.

The Link to the Kickstarter Listing: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/807 ... s?ref=live

Vive la BattleZone!!!

Definitely not a Battlezone game any more, but what I have seen is promising. Seems like a Red Faction/BZ crossover at the moment, though I'm still waiting for dev server access from Zazz.

I think it's better to get away from the Battlezone genre altogether and focus on making the game unique. Battlezone itself is unique and trying to emulate it probably won't attract more then a few BZ fans. I like that it uses a modern gaming engine and I would add more pilot type warriors; BZ has always lacked in this area. As I recall the Dune mod was one of the few mods to deal with this issue. I hope the project goes somewhere, but like I said make it more unique.
