That, to me, is more a reason to not use it. I love how FF keeps asking me if Flash can be used where a site uses it simply cause I use the previous version of Flash. Gives me exactly the control I want.

I agree with Red Spot. The fact I allowed a few fires to break out, including the silly Kernal crash, allows more control. I rarely enable Flash Player as a modern user - or resource heavy plugins in general. Now I can upgrade to the best "User Rated" version. No issues in Windows 7, though. With dreaded AdWare upgrades... sometimes dodging upgrade screens are like dodging missiles.

Going back on topic, I had actually been one of the veteran backers, but have since given up my pledge and gave it to Sonic. At least he'll be able to get more enjoyment out of the game than I can when this game is released; whenever that may be...

From the scope of things, the hardware required to run this is probably some of the most top-tier specs money can buy currently. Something of which, I won't have the money for anytime soon. I could be wrong, but I'm VERY confident that my poor system will not run this effectively. Grant it, at the time it was not optimized code, but the hanger module that was released ran like utter crap on my system. A Core 2 Duo with a GTX 550 Ti just won't do for this game... I could turn the graphics down all to the bare minimums, but not only does it make it look like crap, it really didn't improve performance. In a heated battle... just no.. my system won't be able to take it.

Of any game I've ever heard, Star Citizen is the most ambitious project I've seen. Though I am glad to have put a little money into it, losing the life-time insurance I did have was a bit hard to give up, but at this point in time... I didn't really have a choice as getting the necessary parts to run this game in a stable manner just will not be possible. Which is why I gave my ship and life time insurance to Sonic.

That about sums it up really... I've played some pretty demanding games (Space Engineers for one, still waiting for it to be optimized...), but Star Citizen is shaping up to be....... well, let's just say, beyond demanding.

My pc with a multi threaded quad core 3400ghz processor and a NVidia GT 560 will run it just fine on medium graphics.

I only have a Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz CPU, and Star Citizen was choking real bad. Can't imagine what else when this game gets bigger in scale...
