-Gameplay involves 5 players on each team, each of whom wield characters named "Champions." The objective of the game is to destroy the enemy "Nexus", or HQ.
-To aid you in doing so, your Nexus spawns little soldiers called minions that relentlessly charge down one of three lanes, top, middle, and bottom. You are to aid them as they battle it out with other minions, getting gold and experience as you kill them.
-Your champion levels up as he fights, allowing you to upgrade 1 of 4 skills each time you level up, which aid you in battling.
-There are over 60 different champions to play as. Each week, 10 of them are free to play. You may buy champions to use as much as you want using in game currency or real money.
-Lanes are protected by a total of 3 turrets, each of which are very hard to take down without support. After the last turret in a lane is destroyed, you are free to attack the enemy "Inhibitor" of that lane. Destroying it will cause that lane to spawn Super Minions which are very powerful.
-This game is more than simple RTS. The 5 people on your team must work together to "gank" the enemy. Doing so will net you easy kills. This can make or break your team. Deaths cause you to wait to respawn, costing the enemy precious manpower.
