Ages ago I took a very short clip, from a very well known piece of film music, utterly mutilated it and used it as an engine sound, It retains just enough feel of impending threat, without actually sounding like music any more. Speeds up and slows down with the vehicle just like the music in the movie does. :)
Haha, wasn't Doctor Who by any chance was it? I think we generally get pretty lucky with SFX...

Interesting fact; the Nexus uses the Tardis sound effect.

No it wasn't. The clue is in the term impending threat, and speeds up and slows down, I'm not going to tell you cos its actually such an obvious choice. There are very few people around who would not recognise it by the first note. In game you don't notice until you run a little way.

I occasionally find myself randomly humming Star Wars music... and maybe the opening of Star Trek :/

I said it was really obvious. Just a short sample, roughly mixed with a bz2 engine noise.

I can picture that being a pretty good engine sound actually. I did a similar sort of thing with the new weapon sounds, I blended the original BZ2 sounds in to whatever else I used so that they sounded similar to their originals, the mortar one turned out particularly well, just sounds like a higher-quality version of the original which is what I was trying to achieve. I think the AT-Stab is still my favourite though, I LABOURED over that one...

Watched it. Noticed at 5:12 your mod's models are out of date.

Oh, and IMO the 3 stabbers should travel 25-50% faster. They seem kinda slow/fall too fast.

They already have double the range, don't wanna push it too hard. That's all for later tweaking though
