seriously not cool, what the hell do you think you are doing releasing this stuff without the author's express permission ?
I'm only an email away
you are bang out of line here, I suggest you take down that link immediately before anymore damage is done, these files are not yours to release.

I've got to mention that there really isn't much of anything in there that isn't already publicly in the PAK. I think I saw two early units that were later remodeled but not much else.
It is looking like I am going to have to do MSH conversion to XSI to get an actual fixing done.

that's hardly the point is it, none of the XSI's were ever released, most of the ones included are mine, all you folks needed to do was ask me but no that was too much trouble.
it's the fundamental lack of respect that's the real kick in the teeth when I think about the amount of time that I dedicated to this game and community and this is how you repay me.
it makes me feel sick, you don't own those models you have no right to them without my permission and you're hardly doing anything to cultivate my good will with such a display of arrogance, redistributing someone elses work without their permisssion is no better than piracy.

Didn't know you were still around and able to be contacted.

I have to point out that no one even knows how to contact you. You had completely disappeared from the community until you suddenly re-appear here.
Even I have tried to contact you about things and gotten nothing back. It has appeared as if you had completely abandoned us (and in fact you did).
Also, many of the XSIs were released and in fact made their way into the original PAK file...

I still post on Time Disruptor as do other members of this community, the fact is nobody even bothered to try, my email addy is the same one I've always had.
these lazy excuses are doing nothing to help your cause.

There are at least 2 (or more?) projects currently active, where people are attempting to resurrect your fine work to function in bz2 1.3, Lizard. Its more like a case of the preservation of fine art, than piracy, as 1.2 is now mostly unused by the majority of the community.
Yes they should have asked you.

So wait, you assume we have your email on file since you didn't list it anywhere anymore for us directly.
You expect us to see you on TimeDisruptor which is now an all OT forum for the old timers.
And you accuse of of not even trying when we had no reason to know we needed to to try considering on what terms you left us.
Oh yea, and I have sent you emails and PMs and messages about other things and heard nothing, nothing at all. Stuff asking if you still have the old files for the FS site so I can use them on the wiki, stuff asking for information and possible assets (though I figured I will have to back engineer from the MSHs) for getting BZRAP off the ground, etc. For all of these attempts at communication, you have not replied once, making me believe you were either not getting them, not caring, or dead.

Can we determine if these XSI's were in fact the original .pak file? If so, then this link contains no stolen assets.

Apollo already had these assets when FE was released, I assume that means he may have been involved somehow.
And welcome back Lizard, however bad the circumstances are.

The Hadean Portal was not in the PAK, but the version with a different texture and extra mesh was. The early model Xpos and Xeres were obviously not, nor the early locust. The Cerberi units there are in the zip are also in the PAK, some in a better state in the PAK in fact, the only thing I can see aside from unused old form stuff is the walker skeleton. I don't think the battery try was in the PAK.
PS: Always nice to know that another member has just left us of his own will and not DIED.

Lizard, I'm taking your word for it and removed the link but i'm pointing out that these files don't have your name on them that i've found with a search nor do i see any restrictions for use from the authors.
As i understand it, the community is trying to preserve these works and frankly, these was released in a free mod and was made using tools Activision/Pandemic paid for, what does the EULA say about that?
Now a Moderator should lock this topic, as it only serves as a place to argue.
