Scion VOs
I am wondering if anyone ever figured out what settings were used for Scion VOs?

Re: Scion VOs
Nobody knows.
However for audacity users I have a real simple workflow for creating Scion VO's
1) Record Track
2) Bass Boost Recorded Track
3) Duplicate that Track
4) Change Pitch on duplicate track (-20%)
Play both the source (bass boosted) and duplicate (pitch shifted) tracks at the same time.
I think this sounds better than most fan-created scion VO's.

Actually IIRC Jayden figured it out. I can see if I can get the specifics later, but I think it involves reversing the track, adding an echo, and reversing it again.

Interesting, it's funny how google didn't come up with that result :/

Re: Scion VOs
The Scion voices has been asked repeatedly over and over again... But I have to say, they have been my favorite type of voice for many years, even from other games, the Scion remains as my favorite. I do think though that my second would be Garrus' race in Mass Effect, they have some good voices too...
I've always wondered what my voice would sound like as a Scion, and since Jayden provided a way to replicate it, I may give that a shot at some point. I do know that I've asked Nathan a year or so ago about this very question, and not even he knows exactly how it was done. Either way... Google wouldn't tell you much either, I at least know that much.

If you happen to be looking through my posts, I have completely dumped all things related to Battlezone. Do not contact me, do not bother me. Been harassed enough as it is and am done entirely.
Re: Scion VOs
Both Turians and Quarians use a similar method to the Scions. Duplicate, change pitch, speed up, mix back together.

It could very well be because of what he says, but I tend to like Rex(?) and his kind a lot more than the rest.

Re: Scion VOs
I am just sad it involves an echo on a reversed audio clip. I wonder if I could do real-time by duplicate the stream and running the first though, real-time, with the adjustments other than time that normally occur to an echo, and then the second with the opposite time adjustment then what usually occurs to the echo.
