Units as Building Requirements

So I'm messing with the Cerberi. I put a thing in where you can make a cerberized version of the unit, but you have to obtain the actual unit first. So for example I would snipe a sentry, and then be able to make cerberized sentries as long as I still kept the original. Yes, I know this contradicts canon but sue me for just screwing around. The problem is that I often have to do weird things for it to work, such as snipe the unit and then self-destruct or recycle it. Then for some reason I'm able to continue building the cerberized ships even without the original. Yes, I did make sure that the original unit wasn't in the ProvideNames of the cerberized versions.

you can have crigs upgrade units, too, not just buildings.

One thing I had felt would be cool is being able to snipe a unit, for example a warrior as ISDF then recycling it.
Once recycled, you have the ability to build Warriors in addition to any weapons it was carrying.
Obviously not in stock.

Interesting. How would I do that? Just put upgradeName = " " in the unit like its a building?

Sounds like the sort of thing that's going to have a lot of issues in multiplayer.
