For the record: I couldn't find an exact topic for this to be in, so I put it in Mod Making.

I know what you're thinking. WHAT?!
I had a dream, that was inspiring.
Using Fraps or other computer recording systems, we could make a Battlezone movie.
It would take a while, but it could be awesome.
We could use people from the community for voices, use ingame views (F1 - F5) to record "scenes," and we could put together a movie.
This could be a Community Project, including all who can help.
I am currently starting to write the story for the movie.
Post below if you want to help, or if you just want to state your opinion.

You want to make a movie out of recorded game play?

Yes.
Someone could record the gameplay using the F5 feature.

Combine those to make a Battlezone Movie.
We could also use gameplay from BZ1, for some Scion flashbacks as the Black Dogs.

That is very obviously an old computer game. No where near movie quality.

Which game?
BZ1 or BZ2?
Bz1's clips would be brief.

Both.

BZ2 may not be movie QUALITY, but it could still work.
Check the two videos above.
Both of those combined with a story and voice acting would work.

UPDATE: Just got Fraps. Works well. Just finished an outline for the story.
Voice Actors:
Lieutenant Sims (stowaway son) - Me
Commander Slaos (Sl-OW-S) - available (low growling voice similar to Manson)
Commander Frarlow - available (younger man voice)

I seem to remember that quite a while ago, before Baconboy started having dreams, someone tried to rally up some support for a BZ2 based movie. Anyone know what happened with that, or am I just hallucinating again?

I remember that, but I was new to the community then.
I will try my best to make this movie, or at least start something that "better" people will do later on.

Well, seeing as I like to make Battlezone II videos, I could give this a try.

Fraps for video, GoldWave for audio

Lolwut. Goldwave? Never heard of it. I use Fraps for the filming, and for the voice I use some program that I don't feel like saying.
