Bombers

How do they work? I looked at the odf and found that there was no place to specify a weapon. Is it possible to make a bomber that fires a beam for a period of time, rather than a bomb?

Mess with the values and see if you can somehow make a bomber pause other the target. Never tried myself. If you can do that and also make it drop the bomb at the start of this 'sitting' you can make the bomb be a micro-structure that taps a flare mine on upside down and set it up so that the explosion of the bomber would destroy it. Or you could use a non-bomber class and just have to come up with a way to regulate it nicely.

I like the APC class better then the bomber my self this is worth looking in to none the less.
APCs have a setting that controls how high they drop things from and can drop more then one at a time.

The bomber delivers an object, "The bomb" is a simple kind of unit, it could just as easily be an assault tank. So to fire a beam, you would maybe want to make a short lived unit that fires a beam weapon and then dies.

ya a building with taped mines ether flare or weapon mines. but apcs can deploy those better then a bomber.

There's a recycler variant with one of those, except it's a dropship.
