scion hoard

Post by index »

a couple nights ago i had a brilliant insight for the future of battlezone 2

you are in this map where there are scion/isdf units trying to kill you, and really all you are trying to do is to survive as long as possible, and the units get bigger and better the further you get into the game

Horde (the correct spelling :P) is an awesome mode.

It would be good, but I think you'd need more than just the stock races for it to work nicely, lots of new units, and all scripted. Bonuses and random timed perks would be great to to spice it up a bit.

just tap some spawn points on the rec
for the timed perks no need to scipt them.

That really depends on what you want to do though doesn't it...

It's actually 2 KB bigger than the maximum allowed... So I can't use it...

If the OP knew what your old avatar was, he'd be offended, heh

I suggest opening it up in gif animator if it was a gif and deleting some of the frames. Or just find some compressor.

If you have nothing useful to post.. don't post. (Specifically at anyone who uses images as responses) I'd personally ban those type of posts myself.. but anyway, on topic.

Basically, its survival. Survive for a set time or get through so many. I don't know if it'd work for BZ2 without some heavy scripting or something. Not to mention we still don't have a mod that brings all races into a single mod.. One starts, one gets abandoned... Starts up again, seems abandoned again... I just don't see it feasible.

Oh come on, I used all my "I'mnotatroll" points for that(I thought it was funny), and it did more or less make a point: you can't have all that w/o scripting

Excellent point: scions by themselves would be boring fast. (Note to N1: work on BZRAP this week) You could probably have a bunch of spawning loops taking turns, by themselves, and mixing. I'm not exactly sure how you would keep track of kills, though at a last resort, you could use whatever code in the dm dll to track kill and reward the player...

but then again,

G66 and FE are basically a deathmatch with humans vs bots on. what im trying to say is that the zombies get harder and more common, with some sort of time measurement such as waves or rounds. another thing is that you should be allowed to unlock certain areas after a specific wave

If you want to program something like that, be my guest.
