Are there any video tutorials?

I was hoping there was one for each area of mod making, or combined to guide a noob through a mini-mod, but hitting all areas of mod development?

Is there such a video?

There are lots of basic modeling tutorials on Youtube for various programs, my favorite being Blender, as well as many photoshop tutorials that you could apply to textures.

There arn't any BZ2 specific videos really... its such a simple engine to mod thats they arnt really needed. All you need is notepad and Pak Explorer for your first mod

There are a lot of BZ2 text tutorials out there. Not many video ones. That's partly because BZ2 predates youtube and similar.

I also have a BZII model making forum based on using Caligari's Truespace 3D modeling software and a few tutorials for making stuff like Wire and Icon images, editing ODF and INF files, and converting models for use with BZII. BNG's BZII Modeling Forum. Blender, is cool but I'm not sure how users are getting models into BZII. Truespace, uses the X model format converted with an application called 3D Exploration to convert from X to XSI. It's not a perfect solution but it will produce servicable models for BZII.

How are Blender users getting models into BZII? I suspect that the B3D 3DS exporter would be one option if you choose that route. The B3D X exporter has problems reading into 3DEX. Did anyone get OML1's B3D XSI exporter work? Thanks.

I'd like a simple tutorial telling me what to do and how to do it in simple words.
Is there something like that?

I don't know crap about modeling
but I know the basics of .odf edits and how to make a recycler varient I could make a video tutorial when I get the chance of how to do simple things. I guess im a n00b at it too but I see the n00b perspective so that I could explain it in a good way.

though text tutorials are helpful, video tutorials are great just because they give you something visual to work with.

Everybody has to start somewhere. My first modding thing was a massive ISDF recycler variant composing everything from FE and FS. And quite a lot from other mods too.

I just jumped into 3DS and started learning it. I thought It was pretty tough at first but its not really, theres always going to be things to learn. However, modelling is the easy part, its the UV-ing that takes me forever, I just can't do it properly. Searching through various plugins atm to help me do it.

Also, the most basic tutorial:

Visit the Bzcommand Forum it has several good sources for learning to do things related to BZII. But be prepared to get your hands dirty though as tutorials can only give you the basics. Most of the work has to actually be done by wanna be modders through their' own efforts. Video tutorials are too much work for most modelers and require a lot of effort to produce. That's why there aren't a lot of them out there. Unfortunately, a lot of modelers that should post tutorials just don't post many tutorials.

DX teamspeaked me through my learning of 3DS as we did a condor for BZ. Most helpful thing anyone has done for me as far as learning to mod ;)

If you're reading this, thank you!
