Returning after many years

Post by wArB1rD »

I don't know that anyone remembers me or my group (USMC) from mostly BZ1 and then 2 of us came into BZ2. There are only 2 of us left with any thing to do with BZ2 and funny thing.... My daughters play it with me. They are 12 and 7. I used to play BZ2 with Forgotten Enemies and the official patch. Im trying to get all our computers evenly loaded and patched and was wondering what stuff is out there many use and in what order should I download and install ? I also am seeking out a few new and old friends so that I can have somewhere to spend some online gaming time. Please help.

Hey Warbird :)

Just install BZ2 and put the latest patch on (1.3pb6.2, available here). Once that's done you can install the compatible mods - which includes a version of FE, Fleshstorm 2 and Uler - from here. In a few months I'll probably get my act together and release a compatible Fleshstorm.

If you play 1.3 the install order is simply BZ2, then 1.3pb6.2 or whatever the latest at the time is. Some people keep multiple installs to play other versions like 1.2 but it is getting a bit dead there.

FE has been and still is in the process of being improved for 1.3. There should be a topic for it around here somewhere.

In 1.3 none of the mods fight with each other (well some UEP stuff fights with some 1.3 Strat map pack stuff but I don't want to get into anything UEP related) so aside from the base install the installation order doesn't really matter (unless it is something like, MOD version 5, then MOD update from 5 to 5.1, etc, but none of the mods fight with each other install order wise).
