Claiming I have ignorance of something you don't have experience of either does not forward your point Sly.

ZA, I avoided all the clans for a reason, partly because I was a shy child who didn't want to risk involvement, but partly because that was a breeding place of anger and ego. I was a major M-Bike user before that became one of the unwritten rules of no-use. Of course I had no idea of warp or any of that, I just knew I was getting away. I am not one who wants the *win* because I know that that is not the true win. I am not sentimental, I just have an understanding that what the game calls the win is not what I call for myself the win. (I am the sort of person that says you gamble like this: You set aside a set amount of money for an entertainment budget. This you gamble with, lets say in LV, and when it runs out you are done. If you win more money, hooray, but it doesn't define what is fun about it. That fun is the true victory.)

I don't know if any of you are grasping the pure variability of strategy there was in the past, compared to now, when people who at least knew what they were doing still didn't use this strategy of today.

Also, when I said 99.9% win, I said 99.9% win against anyone NOT USING THE SAME STRATEGY. If both players use that strategy what follows is a game that is generally predictable. Sure, you might claim a huge variability of possible strategies, but when it comes to it you can actually list them all with only a slight change in build order or to weapon equips. That isn't a different strategy, that is just a minor variation. If you can lump all strategies into either a "STRAT style offensive" or "MPI style turtle" then you aren't thinking in the scope I am.

If of course I do play now and I try to develop or use a strategy that isn't that 99.9% win strategy, I lose, quickly. This is what I am trying to say, the basic strategy, why a guide is even possible to have and be so short, is the only thing you can do to win, and not lose epicly, if any other team is using the same. I don't get why it is like this. In games like Starcraft, there is a ranking ladder which is why people stick to a definitive win strategy like "Zergling Rush". If two opposing teams use the same strategy, this 99.9% win, then of course the minor variations become important. These minor variations are the sorts of things you guys are calling entirely different strategies. They aren't! Why is it like this when we have no ranking system? Are the people left really this shallow?

Also, when I install my game I find myself in version 1.0 (1.01b2), not 1.1 (which is 1.10b13). Do people actually have version 1.1 disks or are you saying that they somehow knew to patch to 1.1 but not to 1.2?

Sly, your feelings are based on your experiences which clearly don't match mine. Of course me writing from a perspective of different experience would cause you to feel it off, but it is not wrong, it is just different from how you feel. This is why feelings and facts are such separate things. I am expressing my feelings and supporting them with facts and experiences, of course the feelings I express seem off to you as they are mine, not yours.

Sly-
You may think you talk well here and say you help BZ2. But, you're a mixed bag -- sometimes helpful, sometimes a griefing and slandering jerk. You earned the first IP ban from this board for lying about 1.3 and MPI. You've never once apologized for that.

A certain game mode might encourage trash talk. But, these forums are not that game mode. Apologize, or take your arrogant foolishness elsewhere. Thread over.
