well, if your head is still; try turning it to the left and right, up and down and see if 24..60 fps is good.

I'm running Fraps in BattleZone II at a steady 28-32 fps while recording full graphic settings running newest patch. Mind you I'm running at 800x600 res because my native screen res (1680x1050) makes the HUD items far too small.
Re: >>BZ2 Montage<<
I'm uploading a test recording to YouTube so you guys can tell me how it looks.
BZ QUALITY TEST
Also I am working on a newb tutorial video and was wondering for some ideas to include in it (how to do's). Thanks a bunch!

Running in window mode helps FPS big time when recording.
Re: >>BZ2 Montage<<
If I run in window mode, won't the surrounding be recorded too? And wouldn't it hurt the quality?Zax wrote:Running in window mode helps FPS big time when recording.
Re: >>BZ2 Montage<<
Nope, Fraps only records the active window. And if you record at 1024x768 (or whatever) those pixels get mapped 1:1, so quality would be the same as fullscreen at the same resolution.Gamelimbo wrote:If I run in window mode, won't the surrounding be recorded too? Probably should be in the off topic section, but still very enjoyable to watch!

Aha! Another Battlezone II montage maker! I figured I was the only one around. I've made montages as well, and I plan on making more, you can check my stuff out here:

I'm using Fraps to record, and Sony Vegas Pro to edit and compress it.Sabre Tank wrote:Aha! Another Battlezone II montage maker! I figured I was the only one around. I've made montages as well, and I plan on making more, you can check my stuff out here:

However if you know something with as good quality, but better compression than Fraps.. That would be very much welcome

Fraps seems to go wack on my computer for some odd reason, so I'm out of a screen recording program right now, actually.Gamelimbo wrote:I'm using Fraps to record, and Sony Vegas Pro to edit and compress it.Sabre Tank wrote:Aha! You Double post >.> lol, and I second that about Sony Vegas. I checked out some of your videos and they are excellent, but did you know how to turn off the FPS counter?Sabre Tank wrote:Fraps seems to go wack on my computer for some odd reason, so I'm out of a screen recording program right now, actually.Gamelimbo wrote:I'm using Fraps to record, and Sony Vegas Pro to edit and compress it.Sabre Tank wrote:Aha! Also, where did you get the footage.. was it all done by you just playing and recording?
