2. NO hacking!
3. NO bug exploiting!
4. NO crying in game, save it for the lobby.

-No spawning of tanks or pilots
-No fighting at the spawn point
-No shooting pilots unless fired upon

Re: All-encompassing Battlezone Steam group
Yeah, but those are clearly BZ1 rules and afaik have never been the standard in BZ2.
If that were a list for BZ2 1.2, it would have items like:
-No placing turrets in buildings/extractors.
-No demolishing of the recy itself.
-(Possibly a rule concerning hovering.)
-etc ..

Re: All-encompassing Battlezone Steam group
Only if it's your own. Having your own recycler demolished is probably the second most humiliating way to go. Second to a scavenger rush.Red Spot wrote: -No demolishing of the recy itself.

Re: All-encompassing Battlezone Steam group
Not really ...
If you have a few players vs you that can clearly outfight you, it becomes easy for them to "eventually" get it done.
In that respect the scav-rush is much more humiliating as you can see that coming a mile away .. and again, dogfighting skill plays a key role.
Both are actually cool ways of losing though, in my book ...
(I dislike it more to get rushed at start, get shot down, and see them chew through the recy with nothing but mini's. I'd rather see them hold a sec in order to get a cons to the front, as I tend to play for the entertainment value.)

Re: All-encompassing Battlezone Steam group
When I am playing a random BS game with my MRVP recs I like to send 100 mini-cons. Picture a ton of low profile, fast, low health trash cans charging your base. Fun times...
Re: All-encompassing Battlezone Steam group
People demolish their own rec all the time. If the enemy commander sneaks a constructor around the map and demolishes your recycler, that's your fault. It's all been done before.
As for hovering, the rule was and still is no hover-killing the enemy recycler. Even though hovering isn't infinite any more, VSR allows you to stay in the air quite a bit longer than stock, and recycler hovering can still be an issue.
As for pilot killing, it is totally acceptable to kill pilots in strats if the enemy has a sniper. If not, the only time you can't kill pilots is when they are waiting for an empty scout to get into. Team killing to steal a ship from a better player is ban-worthy, but if a player is really bad and continues to not allow a better player into a ship, the better player can steal it from the bad player.
In DMs, pilot-killing used to be a bad thing. It still is bad if the pilot is attempting to hop into a newly spawned ship. Otherwise, a lot of people like to try snipe, and it's typically okay to kill snipers

This is where my signature picture would normally be. It is not, as you can see.
