Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
Thanks for your replies and suggestions. BTW, I've changed a part of the story. Seeing as how bio-metal is probably the most stable metal in the universe, I've removed the whole idea of it becoming radioactive and instead changed it so only the ISDF soldiers would have to worry about getting too big of a dose.
And ONE MORE THING: GSH, AHadley, and several others will be mentioned in the work as follows:
GSH - Sergeant Mates, leader of Isaac's platoon.
AHadley - Lieutenant Hadley. Simms's rival and nemesis.
Ultraken - Commander Miller, coordinator of assault on Sacrosanct.
Some others later...
Please notify me if you object to any of this... I don't want anyone getting BH over some friendly homage.

Biometal is highly toxic; even a small dose can cause "biometal madness", which normally manifests as an uncontrollable rage. (sourced from FE)

Iron Maiden in there somewhere......
Just Kidding.
But yeah, Biometal really unstable substance.
Also, my comment earlier got me thinking, what would the Scions beleif systems be?

".. and so they brought a maid with them to clean the biometal goodies, a robot, which they named iron maid, which later changed to iron maiden in reference to the old earth band."

Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
Scion belief systems would most likely have something to do with bringing the humans into the light of the Cthonians, finishing out a task to enlighten everyone from long ago. Braddock would most likely be considered a backwards idiot for trying to kill what he created so philosophy about being the higher intelligence would keep them from attacking earth, instead trying to bring everyone into peace. Alliance could be forged as long as Braddock was out of it. This would all be a belief system before Braddock blows up their new home planet, after that it would probably change to be more militaristic, trusting noone etc., probably focusing more on rebuilding than anything.

Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
Not sure they'd have a religion of their own, as such. Being former humans, they'd either observe human religions or be atheist/agnostic/antitheist/satanist/whatever other non-religions you care to name.

Wouldn't Satanist be religious, but a religion based on the worship of the Christian enemy?

Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
The kind of Satanism I'm referring to eventually became what we know today as antitheism. The name was chosen because "satan" means "the opposer".

Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
Enough of all this sacrilegious talk... The Scions would definitely observe Earth-based religions, and they would look at Padishah Burns as a sort of religious figure.
The first 3 chapters of my story are available. If anyone would care to read, please LET ME KNOW through a PM.

The story, when completed, will have a little bit of drama, sex, and of course, VIOLENCE. Get ready!

Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
There is absolutely no mention of religion...Scions are humans melded with biometal, it can not only build tanks but mobile phones too, each Scion can access a thought controlled network, that connects all scions and forms the "collective" None of Earths ridiculous religions would withstand the collectives analytical potential. The Scions would definitely observe Earth-based religions
The Silence continues. The War Of Lies has no end.
Re: Battlezone 2 Stories
I wouldnt say that too hard. The 'you just have to believe in it' part of religions may be dismissed but the actual lesson most religions try to teach and norms and values they try to soak into people is hardly something you can call rediculous, imo.MrTwosheds wrote:None of Earths ridiculous religions would withstand the collectives analytical potential.
