Well, the text is hosted by the same person who is hosting this forum, but that person also likes aprils fool tricks and such, so who knowsforgottengames wrote:The text doesn't look too believable. And by the way, everyone knows that Garry Kasparov is a cheating, dishonest prick who had thousands of his games rigged by the Soviet Union to enhance their image.Red Spot wrote:I'm not sure, but isnt there some sort of chess-game out that uses BZ(2) units?
Ah, and the link was very far away ... read it and ... eerr .. play chess ..

Hmm, I may be wrong here, but it sounds just like forgottenenemies comes on here to b**ch after losing a game in a particular way and cries "overpowered"! In strats, it really doesn't matter what kinda unit the enemy makes, whether it be 20 assault tanks, or 4 slug wielding ships; they can be countered if you are competent. Remember, if they manage to get those units out, it's no one's fault but your own. If you really do invest thousands of scrap in an army, then I would say you do not have much experience in strats. You played your hand, and you were outmatched by the enemy. The point of bz2 strats isn't to demand some sort of change every time you lose, it's to learn from your loss and remember how to counter it next time. Although, even if you have what you make think is a perfect counter, there will always be someone with better aim than you which will make things difficult.
Re: Battlezone 2 Checkmates/Stalemates
Someone consoled GH variant into a strat (1v1) and I told him if he chose to use that variant I would show no mercy, use none of the special units, and not allow him to even get a tech center for any advanced units. He was like whatever and started. I had total map domination the whole map and finished it in 15 mins or so (been a while I forget) he was like wuttttttt and from then on strove to become a better player using stock recyclers and decided fancy toys < skillz

No wonder you've had so many of your posts locked. GSH is right. You really are a griefer.
P.S. SLUG ruins the balance of the game.

No, it takes much worse things than verbal (well text) barratement for that.forgottengames wrote:No wonder you've had so many of your posts locked. GSH is right. You really are a griefer.

I might be coming down with something, but I totally agree with Sly here .. and I see no flames of any sorts in that post ... (strong language perhaps, but no flames)
Slug doesnt change the balance if both sides have it, just how the game will flow. Using such weapons you simply get a much clearer line between skill, where the better player will pawn the weaker player even harder (or is able to).
