It doesn't (in good hands). Mainly due to the fact that Sabres have a mortar slot.

i never thought about using the mortar slot on warriors, only on turrets/guardians/gun towers/spires

What kind of self-respecting warrior DOESN'T have blink, once Stronghold is up? You only have one excuse; if the enemy has like 20 APC's coming your way.
