Because of where I work and the anonymous repeated call (and very odd growling message with someone swearing in the background) I have to notify security at said place of work. Which will then notify the DoD, which will then notify the FBI.

Granted all kinds of things get 'notified', a suspicious car with a person in it watching ppl enter the parking lot 'almost' got notice sent out when it turned out to be me on my cell phone after nearly getting killed on 295 watching a co-worker nearly cream my parked car.

I digress. Someone looked up my domain records and called the number, my parents, rather late at night. Most likely in relation to the **** I have dealt with. I am not in the mood to be messed with and I am REALLY not in the mood when people start f*cking with my parents when they are trying to watch their last TV show or sleep (I honestly don't know which it was at that hour).

PS: Where I work we make scary things that can do far more to your house than Plasma Stream.

Neilk has gone through enough hostilities in thes epast few days to now have you making some ****** claims against him and acting like an idiot. you are already slightly remining me of BlueBannna, the avatar alone is enough. I really hate seeing such stupid arguments on this forum always spiralling out of control into madness. Now either shut up, or so help me I'll drive a mualer to your place of residence and burn it down witha plasma stream!

You have been officially warned, don't poke the bear.

That is scary. I would never stalk another person. It gives me the creeps to even think about such things. Any differences we have are relatively minor. I don't hate you at all but you tend to grate on me in much the same way I annoy you.

@ Iron Maiden...why don't you take your own advice and zip it?

Flaming is wrong but some people use it like gasoline because they already know they're going to ivoke a reaction before they even post such comments. I notice the moderators tend to let things slide until it becomes an all out flame fest.

And ironically, whoever responds to the insult, even when they condemn calling each other names, is being a hypocrite.

So what if people think you're a wimp. I get insulted all the time on another forum. I say "screw them" in my head and continue on. And as a result, on that forum, anyone with common sense respects me. Do they respect the people who call me names? No. Ignoring such insults is not being a wimp. Fighting back is being a wimp. People feel a need to defend themselves when there is nothing at stake unless you pour gas on the flames. A real man knows what to get angry over. Minor insults on the internet is not.

So arguers. Shut. Up. Do you think it's any fun for me to be in a community with wars like these? I would have left a long time ago if not for my affection for BZ2. I'm not pointing out anyone. I just ask everyone to drop the issue as a member of this community. For if these wars continue, I can promise you this.

This community will not be around for very long. I have seen it far too often.

For the love of BZ2, BZI, BZE, and Colonel Corbin. Stop feeding the flames.

I'm going to ask real kindly, and this is the only time I will do it. If you want to discuss other affairs, do it somewhere else or via PM. My topic was to discuss BZ2's current community and its downfall, not to discuss personal matters or flame others. If that can't be upheld, I will not hesitate to ask Nielk1 to lock this topic and let it be a warning to the entire community.

The above 'exchange' is exactly why I made this topic. If the bitching continues, it will lead to the downfall of the entire community to shambles. When new players see this, they will be turned away at how hostile the environment is and leave, not to come back. That's why I left this shame of a community, and it sickens to me how it got like this over the last 5 years.

I am really tempted to outright ban for a day or two the next person who posts continuing the argument and assimilating TS's point to try to call everyone else bad people.

Klink, stop flaming everyone.
Everyone, stop responding to Klink.

It's all so hard and all because punching back and forth is part of what makes BZ online (not just 2) what it is. That's it's character. Asking it to just "grow up" is laughable! In fact, every old game has the same type of issue. I know you are all sick of me talking about it, but I bring up Tribes again as it is a game of the same era and plagued by a tiny pool of players as well, so the situation is similar. The people in your clan are the only people that will really get along, but the rest, as Duke Nukem says, will tear off your head and **** down your neck. Tensions are high because there are only so few players left and everyone wants it their way, but this is no Burger King. It is pretty much to the point of lump it or leave it, and as so many of the MPI players (as Nielk points out) are casual crowd, and they do a damn fine job of ignoring all the BS around them. When they pop on here, it is not because they want to join the conversation.

It is because something got under their skin enough to actually have to say something about it, as with the griefing. That's when it goes too far.

This is an interesting subject ...takes me way back to when i started saving files for this game ....where is bz2 going ? ...i say you can take this game in any direction you want ...with endless posibilities...but what is the best way of not fragmenting the comunity ? Is also a good question...modding and patches can fragment the comunities bad....and yes some players do drop this game because of mods or patches it can get complicated for new users ...and who wants to figure stuff like trhat out ....especially new users ....keep it simple...that being said ...of cours we all know the latest patch is pb6.1 and map pack ...

i think the comunity is full of important and great thinkers
the groop keeps it alive...which is why every single player is pricless
in creating the bigger comunity...
we are battlezone
i'd say when pb6 came out i saw alot more players actually surprising
i'm still testing pb6.1 not sure if its better

Update:

I have received more phone calls around 12:30 AM. Google has again been notified, I have informed my security manager at work as well. I am trying to find where I saved my dossiers on the individuals responsible so that I may easier peruse legal recourse and even if I do not find them I can get the information very easily and already have such information inquiries outbound.

You, and your group whom are calling me. Prepare for legal injunction.

That said, you probably can't understand a thing I just said, which will make legal-language a real bitch for you when you get served.

My point exactly the stupid little wars should be in private: I understand having to teach children how to act but I don't understand why adults have to be taught also.

I volunteer to help moderate the forums:

You should file a police report with your local authorites. You might also suggest to your security officials that it might be a co-worker rather then outside of your office. If you've had trouble recently with a neighbor then that's another potential source. Personal information is way too accesible now a days. One TV station that I worked at actually hired security guards after another employee was fired; he threatened a few people, but nothing ever happened. Good luck though.
