We got mentioned in PCGamer again.

BZ1 and BZ2 were mentioned in the new PCGamer magazine. Thought I'd post it. In the article it says that you can still play these with Windows 7 in DOSbox, is it really that simple?

I just played a Battlezone II instant action with no patch on Windows 7, who knew. Man, the ISDF come with three assault tanks as their first attack. Builder is slow walking SOB. But I liked the Lancers weapon fire, distance fire or burst fire using charge up (like MAG).

Silly them. You don't need DOSbox.

He must have confused BZ with something else... DOSBox won't run BZ or BZ2. Anybody want to get on to them and let them know? :P

Well I just wish PCGamer would recommend patches and where to get them. Apparently that is against their policy.

I had nothing else to do, so I informed them of the mistake on their forum :P, if I got something wrong, please point it out. http://www.pcgamer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=158400

I thought I was the only one that missed the long string of missiles :D.

Their "mistake" is that the writer knows absolutely nothing about BZ and did not want to do the 5 seconds of research about it.

Hahaha, I played vanilla Battlezone II for a real long time 'till I figured out what a patch was. And mods. I have to admit that Batllezone II straight out of the box is pretty dang buggy. I would always just sit and watch as the constructor built Assault Tanks that were half-way stuck in the terrain. That was on Pilot mode.
