I'm sure they're designed to break just after the warranty ends. Sure of it.

If a new model minus a DXT texture is loaded into the game will it cause problems for BZII?

3dex 1.5 doesn't support this format so how and when do we get a DXT texture on a new model?

Does the XSI model need to be edited to switch out the original texture with the DXT version?

Considering DXT is now apparently the standard texture format for PB6 and above would it possible to post some kind of FAQ for 3D modelers to use as a guide for getting DXT textures on their models in general terms? I use Truespace but I have to export textures in BMP, TGA, PNG or JPG. It would help people with different modeling programs get a handle on what's required to their models into BZII. Thanks.
Thanks, so the work flow would be like export model, convert it to XSI, save in Addon Folder. Convert original texture to DXT and save that in Addon Folder, and delete the original texture as it's no longer needed. Is this all that's required?

That's about the sum of it. Though I'd advise against deleting the original textures since another modder may want to use them.

Unless somebody makes a DXT converter, you'll want to keep them around.

The original textures and if you want the XSIs and other dev assets can go into a separate modder_data like that which 1.3 provides.

Hey guys,
In April 2009 I made a back up of BZScrap. It should have every file that you could download Minus the maps unfortunately. I'd gladly re-host it on my drop box for a while if anyone is interested.

Had a quick look through, the only one I found was the BZCDemo. Hope you guys need it / want it.
Glad to see that the Battlezone community is still going, huge part of my childhood this game.

Hey sub-0. I need to rework an upload method for submitting files to bzscrap.

For now, are you familiar with using an FTP client? I might have you upload directly to the site if you are familiar with FTP clients.

If you don't know how to use an FTP client, you may send an email to squirrelof09@ftd-clan.org with the attached files.

let me know. Sorry for the slow timing. The current method is hard to keep up with, plus i've been really busy with all the tornado disaster here in South of USA.
