the (~) Key is not working for me.
I am playing on OS X 10.9 through a Windows 7 VM in Parallels Desktop 9, and the performance is top notch, no lag at all. However I have noticed the ~ key does not work when I'm in BattleZone 2, but it does work in other apps like notepad. Its quite difficult to play, especially multiplayer, without the ~ key. does anyone know of anyway to fix this, or anyway I can remap that function to a different key?
Re: the (~) Key is not working for me.
Short summary: Windows and/or some device drivers eats that key before letting DirectInput (part of DirectX, which BZ2 uses, unlike Notepad) read the key. Other games (Bethesda games like Oblivion/Fallout 3 & NV/etc) also suffer from the same issue, so the same fix will apply to multiple games at once.
The Readme13.rtf file, installed with the 1.3 patches to the same directory as the rest of the patch, has a long section on it. Alternatively, you can read that readme from the master BZ2 1.3 patch site.

What GSH said, however if you want to remap the key anyway ..relink2013 wrote:does anyone know of anyway to fix this, or anyway I can remap that function to a different key?
In the .pak files are 'input' files (*_input.cfg), in one of those are a number of keys set that can not be altered from bzgame_keys.cfg. Not sure if the ~ is in there and wether it can be altered though.

Remapping the ~ key is done thru GamePrefs.ini/LocalPrefs.ini.
