1.2 people and 1.3 people
Why do the 1.2 people want so much to stick with 1.2, and why do they dislike the 1.3 people so much? I don't mean to sound tacky but, why can't we be friends? Please answer rationally.
Re: 1.2 people and 1.3 people
Afaik this has been gone on since even before 1.3.
"Vets" tend to group up and stick together, so early on you got 1 group of players that just kept developing their skils, and others that just played a game. Over time this has become quite a canyon.

Re: 1.2 people and 1.3 people
So the difference is the attitude with which they approach the game?
Re: 1.2 people and 1.3 people
In my book, yes.
Most good modders can play ok. Most vets can mod ok.
It is where you put your priorities, some actually are master of both.

Re: 1.2 people and 1.3 people
So why does this create such a rivalry in the community?
Re: 1.2 people and 1.3 people
This topic is just flamebait, and *this* close to trolling. All it'll do it reopen the same old fights.
1.2 is its own private island. There are no forced upgrades of patches in BZ2. People could play it, but checking the gamespy lists, it's rare to see a 1.2 game up at all in a day. 1.3 has games and people playing 24/7. It's also instructive to check the reactions of people to AHadley's goodbye posts on various boards. It's instructive to see who cares about people, and who's bitter about things.
Locking now. Sorry, but this is just too much of a troll.
