Battlezone 2 Never Ceases to Amaze me

I just figured out the secret to making scavengers obey...
I was messing with tunnel pathing, watching my scavs continue to try to burrow through a wall, or go the wrong way, etc....
Well, I just watched my scav go around a wall to a corner and try to burrow/find a way through...since i've been fighting with this for an hour now, I sat in the middle of my box of walls and said aloud "I wonder, what is the biggest explosion I can create right now?"
Then all of a sudden the scavenger turned and went through the correct path.
So, there you have it. Threatening scavengers verbally with explosives makes them obey.

As one of the elected representative of the Scav Drivers Union (SDU), I feel I must lodge a formal complaint! Threatening our members in this manner is not conducive to good industrial relations and is contrary to regulations governing Commanders in operational procedures! I would further like to point out that our members would not have quite so much difficulty in traversing base structures if Commanders would take the time to learn how to construct bases without building structures placed in ill considered and frankly sometimes stupid and dangerous locations!

As a Scion, I find it's most effective to simply Sonic Wave the insolent retches into the nearest lake/lava pool or enemy base.

That's why the scion side of the SDU union meeting's is always full of empty chairs...

As a retired NSDF officer, I will never understand why in the hell you ISDF idiots decided to give scavengers tracks. They were just fine hovering, BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they had to have tracks and be piloted by those that got rejected from pilot school! It takes a lot to pilot one fo those things, and it is a dangerous job, but of course, we wouldn't want to hurt the feelings of those who can't fight, now would we? Lousy liberal unions.

As a representative of the ISDF engineering corps, I must explain that we have had to employ certain cost cutting measures to keep afloat in these times of economic downfall. One such measure is that we have replaced hover engines on the scavengers with conventional air-injected diesel engines and treads. The level of accidents caused by this change has remained well within nominal levels and I can assure you we are doing everything by the book.
Furthermore we will continue our policy of employing less 'mentally able' individuals as Scavenger pilots as part of our commitment to keep employment opportunities available to all members of the ISDF army.

This is absolutely outrageous! The SDU expected far more than base insults from the EC! Both you and the bloody officers know as well as I do that in the heat of battle, nobody asks you if your smart enough to drive a tank! its just get in that and shoot something! If it wasn't for our members being prepared to do whatever is required of them this war would have been lost long ago! The job description may not be as heroic as that of pilot but it is just as essential, those smart-arse Commanders and topguns would have a great deal of trouble winning their battles without Our Members heroic efforts of resource collection.
Any more of these threats and insults and I may have to consider proposing a ballot to my members, to determine wether or not some form of industrial action should be considered!

Industrial action? Maybe that's why they're so badly behaved in the first place.

Zeno remembers the Chinese days, back when Zeno was demoted to scavenger duty. People used to make fun of Zeno. They said Zeno was jealous of their big fancy guns. But, little did they know, Zeno had a sniper rifle.

Even admiral Ackbar could tell you that there was something 'off' about how that lone scavenger was meticulously collecting scrap near all those empty ships.
