The real world for the mods
I am sorry for disturbing this ghost club, but I need to go deep to the past. Does anybody have a working configuration of the FE, QF and Uler mods? They "work" under 1.3.6 but some missions are broken, some unbalanced, some hang up the game when restoring a saved file. Searching bzscrap does not help. Maybe somebody has an old dusty HDD with an archive?
Re: The real world for the mods
The original version of Uler was designed for 1.2 but should function more or less the same on 1.3pb3.
The best-working versions of FE are for 1.2, followed by 1.3pb3.
QF was designed for 1.3pb4a but should function mostly fine on PB5 if the DXTBZ2 fix is applied.

I keep a 1.2 installation around only for FE. Works perfectly fine except for the screen resolution being bad

Re: The real world for the mods
Is there any chance to get an FE 1.2 installation files? The bzscrap.org has 1.3 files only. All my experiments fail, a few SP missions are unplayable (Into the fire, Two-minute warning, The other side, Rebuilding the Ark, The biometal meltdown)?
Re: The real world for the mods
FE 1.2 files can be found in the /BZ2CP folder.

Re: The real world for the mods
Thanks. Another stupid question: What should I do to install the BZII 1.2 patch? Is /downloads/Patches/Battlezone%20II/BZ2v1.2b/ the right place?
Re: The real world for the mods
If you're running multiple copies of BZ2 you'd be best using the zip version; extract its contents into a fresh installation of BZ2.
