Forgotten Enemies shortcut wont work

I DL the FE and the FE update. I unzipped the Full FE into the BZ2 directory, deleted the two folders and added the update. I then created a shortcut to the bzone.exe and pointed it to ("C:\Battlezone 2\bzone.exe" /config FE13.cfg) I got all that just fine. For some reason when I start BZ2 from the shortcut it starts the standard BZ2 and not FE??

Any suggestions?

If your C:\Battlezone 2\bzone.exe is actually patched to 1.3pb6 or greater that should work. FE needs pb6 to run. Also, above shows you did it right, which brings to question, are you clicking the right shortcut? Did you click apply after entering that info into the shortcut target line? Did you install the game from cd and at the end of the install choose for the installer to make a shortcut on your desktop? If you did then there might be a problem. I've noticed the installer making a shortcut to an existing install before. Just say no to that and make your own shortcut from bzone.exe found in the directory you installed the game. That's all I can think of for right now.

Try wrapping FE13.cfg in quote marks - "FE13.cfg". Then check that FE13.cfg actually exists and it's not another name.

I already tried the quote marks thing. I manipulated it a several ways and it didn't work. But I just realized that I forgot to add the 1.3pb6 patch!!! Last night was the first time I played this in 10 years!!! FUN! Me and my wife use to get a pizza and stay up all night on Fridays playing against each other!!

Bear in mind also that FE13 was developed by a member of the 1.3 testing team, so it's compatible with 6.1 as well.
