Thanks for the suggestions, but using different systems in different houses with different routers is the really big problem. It's just my house, too. The other person can join and create games just fine, while I can't join a game and any game I create boots anyone out and causes the whole thing to crash. My brother's attempts at trying were us just trying to see if it'd work on the same system any better and might have just been an issue with connecting over different networks. Changing the port numbers isn't helping any, otherwise. Again, thanks for the troubleshooting. If there's any extra info I can provide, I shall make a hasty check and get back to you on it. Been busy getting ready for the Occupy <insert town name here> event happening in my city.

Nobody else seems to have this problem, you will need to supply more info, battlezone logs etc.

Battlezone 2 doesn't provide much info regarding Connection Timeout. It mainly logs lagouts which sounds like a completely different issue.

Don't have any logs that were made evident to me. Never gotten a blackscreen followed by a termination message after I got the game installed correctly. If you can specify where I may find some logs, however, I'll repeat my failures again so I have a fresh batch to give you, so to speak. As far as I can tell, this problem is only happening in my house. It's not even computer-specific. Both my laptop and my desktop have the same problem. Not a brand issue: different brand computers. Not an OS issue: friend has the same OS but doesn't have trouble joining other games. Not an issue of the download or installation: took the same links and steps as my friend. The only thing I can think of is a router problem I'm facing, at which point I may need to open ports if that's the problem, but I have to remind myself that I do not have this problem in the regular BZ2 game. It's only FE that's having this problem.
