It should be obvious by the new shell, but I don't think RD updated it yet. One way to tell; go into Singleplayer. The campaign missions should be different.

This is the first patch I'm ever getting. I've moved the files, instant action crashes, and there is no noticeable difference. I have a game where when I build buildings, no outline appears, just a green square, and when building units it's a blue ball that grows

Yes. As well as play online with everyone else.

Here's what I want you to do, Actually:

1: Go to your Battlezone II Folder. (C:\Program Files\Battlezone II)

2: Copy the Battlezone II Folder.

3: Paste it, and name it Battlezone II 1.3

4: Install the 1.3 patch I linked earlier onto THAT folder. (When it gives you the option to change the path, change it to that folder)

5: Get this patch, and install it into the original Battlezone II Folder: http://www.bzscrap.org/downloads/Patche ... update.zip

6: Install the original FE version into the original folder: http://www.bzscrap.org/downloads/Mods/BZ2CP/
- Install Part 1.
- Install Patch 1_01.
- Install Part 2.
- Install revC.

(Hope I remembered the old 1.2 FE install order properly, if not, then try the bz2cp_full.exe, but I haven't used that)

FE for 1.2 is more stable for Single Player Campaign.

Battlezone II 1.3 version is more updated, works better on new OS's, has most of the MP players and any new mods that come out will likely be for it.

The FE for 1.3, which is what everyone here has been talking about, has mostly MP Focus, so the Single Player Campaign in FE1.3 may not work as intended.

I used to play this 8 years ago with my friend, but he died........ I found it on amazon and discovered some difference (like the blue ball) his disk used to make the scion unit production look so cool

That's because you're using v1.01b (the unpatched, just-installed, straight-off-the-disk version, and your friend was likely using 1.2 or a 1.3 build.

Mine installs 1.01b2, yours probably does too. Mine came in the full box and everything so its not like its a later disk pressing.
