The 'Vet Strat Recycler Variant' is a development created with the aid of the 1.3 strat community. However it is not only for Strat games, VSR can be used to also improve your MPI and FFA experience.
It seeks to address the following issues:
- Make commanders jobs easier, by allowing certain things (like pods and empties) to build more quickly. Certain things are cheaper or more effective.
- Allow for a greater amount of strategic and tactical choices, many weapons that are rarely ever used now have some tweaks made to them to allow for more varied gameplay.
- Improve ISDF and Scion Balance, all tweaks are done tastefully, try out lancer and multilock/wasp and tell me how it floats your boat.

Extract this file into your addon folder and you should now be able to select the recycler variant in multiplayer.
Specific Changes to the variant include the following:
GLOBAL CHANGES
- Pod build time reduced from 5 seconds to 3 seconds
- 35 scrap modded empties for ISDF and Scions
- Unmodified empties build in 12 seconds instead of 15
- Unmodified full scouts cost 45 scrap instead of 50
- Service Trucks/Healers now automatically service buildings
- Prox Mines, Life span increased by 60%, slightly larger trigger radius, explosion disorients
ISDF
- Service trucks, destroyed/recycled return 30 scrap instead of 20 (it was 40 in 1.2)
- Service trucks, service buildings automatically. Retains behavior where they will not service each other until ordered to do so
- Tug speed increased by 50%
- Tag Cannon, leader round speed increased by 20% to make it more suitable as a dogfighting weapon
- Empty scout, reduce image signature by 10%
- RED Field, ammo consumption reduced by 40%
- SITE Camera, ammo consumption reduced by 80%
SCIONS
- Empty scout, returns 15 scrap instead of 20 scrap on destruction/recycle
- Empty scout, reduce image signature by 20%
- Hauler speed increased by 50%
- Titan, thermal signature reduced by 20% to reduce its vulnerability to Hornet
- Blink, kick explosion radius reduced so that it only affects the user and can't disorient/destroy units that are blinked into. This should make it a little harder to use offensively.
- Arc Stream, ammo consumption reduced by 20%.
- Arc Cannon, omegakick reduced, so it disorients the target less.
- Jammer, paint canceling radius lowered to 70m, normal Radar/TLI jamming of 200m retained
- Multilock, now locks on much faster, avoids locks on friendly targets, doesnt lose locks easily anymore, 1 second locking delay added to discourage single locking and encourage multi locking
- WASP, speed and maneuverability increased; explosive damage reduced, ammo cost vastly reduced, now deals a weakly damaging explosion when destroyed.
- Lancer, forward speed increased, strafing responsiveness increased
- Seeker Mine, implement safety mechanism, increase seeking radius and speed.
