Re: Scav Invulnerabilty
No I just mean having scavs that shoot pools would be game breaking.
A scav with a gun is just a 20 cost assault tank that picks up scrap and/or deploys on pools.
The whole concept is fraught with problems and possible exploits. Even if they couldn't shoot buildings, would you want your rec surrounded by 20 armed scavs killing everything you build only 5 minutes into the game and with only a pulse rifle to stop em.

Scavs can get pumped out so quickly on one upgraded pool. In fact as long as you have 1 upgrade and a couple of minutes, you could build a few F-groups worth of scavs, send them to the enemy base and blow them all up on his rec pad -- destroying the enemy's recycler (each scavenger does a tiny amount of damage when it explodes).

Re: Scav Invulnerabilty
for weapons I was thinking of a magnetgun class sheld that would make them harder to kill but provide no real offencive power I could set it to just effect ordence in 30m of the scavenger. you could not kill a pool if you wanted to with that.General BlackDragon wrote:MT means PLAYERS would hop in scavs, shoot pools, and ...so on and so on....
Trust me, giving scavs weapons is a bad idea...
my point is the idea is do-able with out braking the game to much and it mite be some thing new and diffrent to try with a RV.
Q:RD were did you think I got My name?Red Devil wrote:coming to a galaxy near you: Scav Wars!
A:I like to use a 50 scavenger army backed by builders to take bases down and build guntowers in the wake.

Re: Scav Invulnerabilty
Reread Zero Angel's post about scavengers with a different AI type not scavenging any more.

One of the rare times Vsmit is proven wrong, unless sarcasm was intended, which is doubtful due to the lack of OpenSarcasm punctuation ( ¡ )VSMIT wrote:We should also make it so that people can't post after leaving idiotic and/or trolling remarks. But that ain't gonna happen, either.Sly wrote:We should make it so that when one team dies the other teams monitors should shut off until the scavs have had enough time to collect loose.
Re: Scav Invulnerabilty
We need to force VSMIT to use ؟ and (!).
Re: Scav Invulnerabilty
Good luck with that.
