Hiya, i'm new to these boards, but not BZ2 etc (i've been lurking in the forum shadows a while now),
i have noticed that in the 1.3 and up releases the AI gets these fancy defence buildings (rocket towers, assault towers etc), while i don't, i've noticed a ton of diffrent recycler choices in the instant options and im wondering what they all do (except for the obv ones ofc.)
As i ran a few games maxed the tech and got none of these buildings i can only assume it's either deliberate or i did something wrong, can anyone confirm/help me with this?

First, if you play on the maps that were in the 1.0 release, the AI has the exact same buildings available as they did at release. Maps with 'GH' in the description are usually tuned for a different set of AI buildings. If you change your recycler variant -- see the 'map options' button -- you can pick a variant that has a different buildable set of units and buildings. Recycler variants were put in to be mini-mods that don't cause bad assets.

The greenheart variant as well as some of the commando variants contain things like rocket towers, artillery towers, wall segments, etc as items buildable by the human team.

Yep, these are special things made to give the AI more power. The GH rec was added to allow you to have some of the same toys but they aren't balanced very well (hence, they are not available in the STRAT game mode).

Hey if any of you want the starfleet mod i think i have it somewhere, it was awesome back in the day and in MP, i figured since you fellas collect mods.. >_>
Anyways gonna practice some more and after that might join in a few games

You might not, but Nielk1 and I are in the process of making BZRAP. We have Starfleet on BZScrap, whether we want it or not I'm not sure.
