With my new PC up and running, I installed BZ2 yesterday. I copied over a load of mods and addons, and launched it. Worked fine. I then decided to install ENB Series, couldn't get it to work as I wanted it to, and uninstalled it. Since then, whenever BZ2 reaches the second legal screen, the program seems to lock up, causing the monitor to stop displaying and turn itself off. I've already been inside the case and reseated the graphics card (as when I put it in initially it didn't quite go in properly), and uninstalled all the BIOS software that came on the motherboard disk (which was causing lockups in Windows). The graphical oddities occuring in other games (RGB white noise caused by Quake 4, flickering black screen in Recoil) have all been quashed.
I'm replacing the graphics card (nVidia 8400GS, very outdated for accompanying a Phenom II) and monitor soon, and I'm beginning to suspect it's the monitor that's playing up.
Anybody else encountered anything similar?

Re: Lockup on legal screens
Did you install the files located in ./Redist such as visual studio and directx? I am assuming you did a direct copy over of your BZII folder from a flash drive.
Those files are required for the latest 1.3 patches to run BZII.
Edit: re-read what you said above, this may not be the case as you stated "I copied over a load of mods and addons, and launched it. Worked fine.".
I had to google what ENB series was, and while I really don't think that's what caused your issue, it is possible it changed a setting or something. My first stab would be reinstalling the directx within the redist folder.. Your problem sounds new to me, so I don't know the true solution right off hand yet
.
Did ENB install bink tools? try /nointro ? <- just another stab
What's battlezone.log saying??

Re: Lockup on legal screens
Did you leave the custom d3d9 dll from ENB Series in the BZ2 dir?
Re: Lockup on legal screens
I did at first, and I was wondering why the ENBSeries splash screen kept coming up and enbseries.ini recreating itself. I got rid of it, though, and the problem is still occuring.
Bink tools is on my HD already anyway, as I need it to compile the re-made FS intro once I've recorded it.
And I'd completely forgotten about battlezone.log. Stupid.
