ISDF Scout Issue

Post by General Hoohah »

I don't remember if this was a problem in any other versions of PB, but in the current and last version, when I tell a scout to go to a spot he drives past it, then turns around and drives past it, over and over and over. Eventually he makes it. Its funny to watch, looks like he's patrolling.... which would actually be a very welcome command in this game. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried restarting the game many times, but the problem doesn't go away. It seems random, sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.

There are reports of AI units not aborting their orders and driving past go-to points and into the sunset.

I remember that from waaay back. This is something different though.

Its like they have really bad ADHD and don't remember to stop, and it ONLY happens with the scouts, nothing else.

Hey that looks cool... what's that? Oh crap I forgot to stop, turning around. Oh that looks neat, whats that? Dammit I missed it again... turning around. *hour later* Whats that over there? Crap I missed it again!

I did notice something odd yesterday too. I told a turret to move forward from the recycler to a line of turrets very close by.... instead it went back behind the recycler, very intricately maneuvered its way through my base... went to the far side of the base, traveled a long hill... turned left, then went to its spot... when all it had to do was drive like 50 feet forward and deploy. Instead it went a mile... wtf? I've never seen that in BZ2, it was very odd. It did it again when I tried to move it a few feet forward cause it was behind the line of turrets, it stopped short.

Now that I have seen before. Mostly with constructors.
