I changed my vsync option then closed bz2 so I could relaunch, with the change taking effect.

This crash von was G66 (sandbox map). Bulletmagnet was host and playing already for more than 50 minutes. I joined and the game ran smoothly for maybe 10 minutes until my client suddenly crashed. Shortly afterwards BulltetMagnet's server wasn't liste anymore, so I assume he crashed as well.

yes, using the current, non-published g66 fixes those texture and path problems, but the scorpion doesn't have any animations. hmmm, since it doesn't have any animations, perhaps the indices start out at 0.

If it's g66, should be relatively easy to extract the required files for the custom crig (.odf, .msh, don't need .dxtbz2) and use that for savegames with bumping that thing around. Even if this is "just a mod issue," the vast disconnect between the code as written and the logs I'm seeing is worrisome.
