Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
Glancing at the models, if you ever try to vertex animate those....heaven help you.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
I may turn down the subdivisions if I export again.
EDIT: In any case I can make them look pretty good with just object animation.

Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
Sorry for the lack of updates. I have not been working on the race recently due to real life, but it is by no means dead.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
Clavin just single handily justified the feature's existence.Nielk1 wrote:1.3 patching RENAMES your addon folder just in case. It is still there.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
As you may know, I'd fallen out of the development of this race. However, I was playing around, and I came up with a new unit. It's called a Witch. Unfortunately there is nought left but the drudgery of importing.

And texturing.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
That too, and for a lot of units, not just this new one.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
There's a new site with which one may display 3d models in the browser without plugins. I thought I'd share this with everyone and display one of my models as an example.

Wow, that's a very neat site. I was a little put off by the strange URL at first, but it seems to be a very useful one.
As far as model goes, what is it supposed to be? It doesn't really look like a pilot, nor does it look like a vehicle or a building. It could swing either way, it looks like.

Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
I know this is a bit of an older post but I wanted to say thanks for that link Clavin, I've been wanting something like that for showing models.
Re: The Fae (Warning Many Images)
No problem.
I haven't been working on this much lately, but I'll get back into it sometime. Spring break is next week for me and I'll probably work on it some then.
EDIT: Dug up the files and took stock of where I left off. I have a problem with the building voice over. I changed it in my factory's odf, but it only plays very quietly beneath the scion version.

I've been trying to import a gun spire I made. However, I cannot make the collision be invisible. It is parented to the terrain_h object and has the suffix _hc, but it is still visible.
EDIT: Also, what exact size must a base plate be in 3dsmax?
EDIT: I solved the gun spire problem. Turns out you need two underscores. before "hc"
