Re: Interesting article thread
Historically America has always had big problem with racism, its a chicken or egg scenario. No its not your imagination, but it is in no way connected to the way evolution has adapted peoples skins to differing light levels, or have much to do with the absence of Neanderthal ancestors in that group. However racism is firmly linked to poor education and low intelligence levels in all the races, as is crime.
Your prisons statistics are a disgrace, few other nations have a problem like that. It is a judgement on your legal and education systems rather than the people in its prisons.

it's really the fault of the democrats/socialists/progressives that fostered a mentality of entitlement. they basically just turned the former slaves back into slaves again, dependent on welfare and food stamps, which is the real tragedy. a tough culture/mindset to break out of when you are raised that way - but doable.

Re: Interesting article thread
I agree to some extent, creating a social security dependent sub class is a Really Bad Idea. However, for this to not happen you need an enlightened wealthy class to partake in the flow of wealth throughout the society.
If they have an "attitude of entitlement" to their wealth, that causes them to export their wealth creation enterprises to other country's in order to boost their own profit, then the whole ball game just fails.
I worked for one of the old "patriotic" American corporation's, when the Japanese beat them by hard work and excellent engineering, they shut down their American plants and then just bought their Japanese competitor instead...
That is an "attitude of entitlement" too, they just wanted the profits and did not stop to consider their duty to their own people or nation. You have a social security dependent class because of attitudes like this, not because of the politicians who had to deal with the mess they left behind them.
All this became unavoidable, once the globalisation tsunami started moving. As the wealthiest nation America was always going to lose out in a big way. I have no idea how you turn this round now, I guess you don't.
Blaming those you perceive as your political opponents for it wont alter a thing. The republican party were driving when your nation went over this economic cliff.
You blame the poor for being idle and your government for bailing them out, but the only other way is for them to be employed, for that you needed industry and employers.

You see entitlement all across the political spectrum, when people are thinking of themselves. It magically disappears when they are thinking of others.

Sadly, there's no restriction on individuals at the thin left side end of the intelligence bell curve making or purchasing a silly T-shirt.Iron_Maiden wrote:Damn, forgot to post again, well, that can only mean double the articles!

Gee, I'd sure like to set those church people on fire. But, I'm way to far away to get the job done. If only I had something that would throw flame on them...

Yes. But it doesn't help "leaders" keep their power, get them votes, or terrorise their people into letting them do whatever they want, so its a lose lose situation for the power hungry seeking to distort reality into a form that satisfies their hungry ego's or feed money into their arms industries.
Three governments are feeding from this issue. Those 3 governments are the problem. I would quite like to see a more intelligent approach to this issue, It would be great if an alliance of other nations could threaten serious long lasting economic sanctions against all three, should the level of radioactive particles in everyone's bodies increase because of their selfish actions.
Yes bombing their refining plants will contaminate you, wherever you are. We need a global defence against idiots.

Re: Interesting article thread
it was the first thing i thought of. there's a roadside cafe down the hill that i can see from the house that makes great pizza, so i was dreaming of sending one down there to pick it up.
