Their not supposed to be a definitive history of mankind...Most of my comments are intended to be more humorous than factual. Its all a question of perception really, what after all is a fact? Its just another perception, always shaped by the mind that performs it.
And that, sadly, is what modern politics is about, shaping perceptions of reality rather than actually shaping reality. Claiming credit when the chaos turns up something good, and blaming the other side when it all goes wrong.

Modern politics are about exploiting the ignorant.

The ignorant are the worst when they think they know, but are in fact ignoring vast swaths of reality and are just indoctrinated.

Worst part is, if people like that read this, they are likely to say "yea, those other people are ignorant!".

In politics, voter loyalty does more harm than good.

Funny thing about the ignorant... they never can self-identify.

In the past decade or so, the rewriting of perceived reality does seem to have become the prevalent function of most politicians, a very worrying trend. No surprise that things start to go wrong when you run a nation like a theatre.

Oh, I was only refering to the educational system here. Which is being destroyed by 'ideas' of certain politicians and effectivelly pushes whole generations onto the streets with an education that isnt even enough to properly become a garbage collector. They even wonder how it can be that every employer these days asks for a batchelor degree, or better.
But that probably can be grouped with 'running a nation like a theatre'.

Perceived reality IS reality for most people. It's hard enough to figure out what to do with the information you have, let alone trying to determine how much of that info is BS. Screen out too little, and you're operating on lies. Screen out too much, and you're a tinfoil hatter.

it's amazing to me that the current perceived reality exists when most people now have in their homes the greatest information gathering and dissemination tool the world has ever seen; too bad most people are now too ignorant to use it properly.

Just because there's information available doesn't make it GOOD information. The internet is great for scientific and engineering info, but stray into grayer areas, and you just get garbage data produced by the various strains of zealots. Sure, they'll promise proof, but inevitably you get excuses, which will suffice if they coincide with what you believe.

So much certainty, so little knowledge.

But surely your not denying that Earth is being visited hourly by some seriously inconsistent UFO designing Aliens, the evidence is there for all to see on You Tube!
