I've always said; If there's something spotted coming in from a dozen or so AU out and it looks like it's heading even close to us in late summer of 2012. . they'll be a LOT of hub-bub.

This isn't it, but somewhat startling it's big enough to cause some serious damage, AND it's all wrapped up in a nice bundled orbit ready to pounce if it gets perturbed!

Watched inventor and futurist Ray Kuzweil's just released new film "Transcendent Man" last night. At first glance he may seem a bit over the top, but he has 50 years of correctly predicting future technology and inventing several technologies we use everyday. At 17 in 1963 wrote pattern-recognition code to read classical music. MIT grad, held many flat-bed scanner patents, instrument synthesizers patents, AI code, OCR, braille-to-voice readers, etc.

He's the guy who coined 'The Singularity' when referring to technology, and wrote the book 'The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology'.

He is making some really, REALLY freaky predictions for the next 30 years.
